I'm linking up with Lisa Jo at The Gypsy Mama for Five Minute Friday with the writing prompt
|Railing built by church community helping one in need|
Community is real life. It's real relationships - breathing, seeing, smelling, tangible relationships. In our culture we are bombarded with social networks, from the internet to the workforce and school systems. Where networks are limited and care to serve a specific purpose, community is where we really build relationship. It's the people we have to live with and love as a verb. It's where we help one another out, learn through our senses, and work life out with those around us.
The benefits of networks are awesome, don't get me wrong! However, life is happening with the tangible, physical people surrounding us. So, let's not just thrive in our networks, let's make time to engage our communities and be real through and through.
