The Lord does not look at the things people look at. people look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:17
Whose eyes will you see with today? That of your human flesh or through the eyes of Christ?

I praise Him for He does not look at the outward appearance.
ReplyDeleteSuch an encouraging scripture that God sees our hearts. You're right, we all need to see with eyes of love and not judgment.

This so much needs to be our daily prayer that we will see people through the eyes of God.
ReplyDeleteLovely picture.
This reminds me of the Brandon Heath song. I want to have His eyes. Great WFW!
ReplyDeleteThere is so much more to what HE sees...Give me those Jesus eyes!
ReplyDeleteSo very grateful He doesn't go by appearances...I pray that I might see with His eyes!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great reminder! We never know do we? We could really miss some great opportunities by looking simply at the outside. Someone once told me to look at people as eternal souls and it will change your perspective when dealing with them. Thanks for sharing. I love this deep purple color by the way!
ReplyDeletereminds me of the message one of my pastors preached this past sunday about being a little nicer to others! Great encouraging words!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a powerful verse. The picture is a great visual.
ReplyDeleteHappy WFW!
Bless you Therese and thank you for reminding us! I am so thankful that The Lord does not look at the things people look at. This is a freeing verse but the part about people is kinda sad... and we are getting worse in this age. May we have the eyes of Jesus to see others and our own families.
ReplyDeleteHow precious how you placed the words on this little one!
Thanks for your visit and words for me.
Peace,
Peggy
